Postdoctoral Research Associate

The Shansky Lab at Northeastern University is looking for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to engage in NIH-funded behavioral neuroscience research focused on sex differences in cortical circuits related to defensive responses. The role involves managing rodent colonies, performing stereotaxic surgeries, conducting behavior tests, and analyzing data. The postdoc will also receive mentorship in grant writing, team management, and public speaking, tailored to their career goals. A PhD in neuroscience, psychology, or a related field, along with at least three years of experience in a rodent neuroscience lab, is required. Skills in the specified techniques are preferred.
