Research Associate: Atmospheric Chemistry Modelling of Soil Microbial Processes

This Research Associate position at the University of York focuses on atmospheric chemistry modelling of soil microbial processes, particularly nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions from agricultural soils. The successful candidate will work on a project aimed at improving the understanding and representation of these emissions in models, using a combination of existing and new data, measurement techniques, and experiments. The role requires collaboration with biogeochemists and experience in biogeochemical models or atmospheric chemistry models. The position is fixed-term from October 2026 to July 2029, with a possibility of extension, and is based in the Wolfson Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratories.
