Staff Research Associate

The Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is looking for a Staff Research Associate to lead a multi-modal investigation into the mechanisms of amorphous superconductivity. This role involves conducting high-resolution Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) and establishing a correlative microscopy pipeline. The candidate will provide technical leadership to PhD students and collaborate on superconducting qubit development. A PhD in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science is required, along with expertise in STM/STS measurements and air-sensitive sample preparation. The position is full-time for 1 year and 9 months, with a salary range of $96,264 - $122,688.
