Closed: PhD in Subatomic Physics

As part of this research training, you will study beta decay of neutron deficit isotopes using Total Absorption Gamma Spectroscopy (TAGS). The project involves studying nuclei relevant to nuclear medical applications within the Nuclear Structure and Energy group at SUBATECH. You will work on beta decay of radioisotopes for Positron Emission Tomography (PET), which is crucial for reliable dose calculations in diagnostics. The project includes instrumentation developments for the new STARS spectrometer, Monte-Carlo simulations, and preparation for experiments at international facilities.
