University Assistant Predoctoral in Cognitive Neuroscience and Language

The Brain and Language Lab at the University of Vienna invites applications for a University Assistant Predoctoral position (30h/week, limited to 3 years with possible extension) in cognitive neuroscience and language research. The successful candidate will develop and conduct a doctoral research project within the lab’s focus areas, including neurobiological foundations of language, multilingualism, and dyslexia. The position combines structural and functional neuroimaging, EEG/MEG, behavioral methods, computational modeling, and advanced statistical approaches. The doctoral project will be tailored to the candidate’s background and interests, with potential projects addressing questions about brain structure, activation, and connectivity in relation to multilingual experience, language aptitude, and dyslexia.
