Tenure-Track Professorship in Research Software Engineering

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) invites applications for a tenure-track professorship in Research Software Engineering. This position focuses on applying software engineering practices to research software, particularly in natural and engineering sciences. The successful candidate will conduct research on core topics such as reproducibility and sustainability of research software, and will teach in the Computer Science bachelor’s and master’s programs. The role includes leadership of a new department within the Scientific Computing Center, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and open science.
