About this opening

The Faculty of Music at the University of Cambridge wishes to appoint a Temporary Assistant Professor in Western Art Music History (20th Century) starting on 20th September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter and ending on the 30th September 2027. This post arises as cover for a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship and is dependent on the underpinning grant funding remaining in place. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Music or a related discipline and with a record of, or clear potential for, excellent research. You will teach on courses within a recently revised undergraduate degree at Cambridge; you will also teach at master's level and take part in the examining. Administrative duties will include committees, examination boards, and admissions and outreach work.
