The University of Gothenburg seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher in Glycobiology to investigate mechanisms of microbiota-host mucin interactions. The project focuses on identifying how gut bacteria recognize and degrade complex host glycans using proteomics, recombinant protein expression, biochemical assays, and genetic mutant analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in anaerobic microbiology, proteomics, and carbohydrate-active enzyme characterization, with merits in mucin biology, host glycans, and bioinformatics. The position is a full-time, two-year temporary contract with a possibility of one-year extension at the Institute of Biomedicine.
