Data Analyst in Marine and Climate Research

CSIRO is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data Acquisition and Processing Team, supporting Australia’s national marine research vessel, the RV Investigator. The role involves ensuring the accuracy, quality, and accessibility of scientific data generated through marine research activities. Responsibilities include processing and quality-assuring datasets, improving data workflows, and contributing to the development of software tools and systems that support scientific research. The position is based in Hobart and may involve occasional participation in research voyages to provide technical support. The successful candidate will have a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline, with experience in data quality assurance, processing, and analysis, and demonstrated ability to develop or improve data processing tools and workflows.
