Associate Professor in Astronomy & Astrophysics

The Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of Chicago invites applications for an Associate Professor position. We seek outstanding scientists with expertise in theoretical, computational, or observational approaches to study aspects of the 'Extreme Universe'. The successful candidate will develop an original research program and teach undergraduate and graduate students. A Ph.D. in astrophysics or a closely related field is required, along with evidence of leadership and a successful independent research record. The salary range is $135,000 - $150,000, and the position is benefits-eligible.
