Postdoctoral Researcher in AI and Physical AI for Advanced Manufacturing

The Digital Additive Production (DAP) chair at RWTH Aachen seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to independently establish and strategically develop a new research area focused on AI and Physical AI within modern manufacturing process chains. The role involves leading research projects, mentoring PhD students, building collaborations with industry and academic partners, and publishing findings to enhance visibility. Candidates should have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and project leadership experience. Fluency in German and English is required.
