Postdoctoral position in design of integrated photonic waveguides with optimal in/out-coupling to light

The successful candidate will join the Nanophotonics Theory group at ICFO, focusing on designing waveguides integrated within a planar geometry for optical sensors and signal processors. The project emphasizes electromagnetic modeling to optimize waveguide structures for minimal loss and effective mode matching with external optical components. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in photonics or a related field and have experience in electromagnetic simulations. The position is for one year, with the possibility of extension, and applications will be reviewed as they are received until a suitable candidate is found.
