Umeå University aims to provide early-career researchers with the best conditions for conducting cutting-edge research through the Northern Star Fellows Programme. This initiative offers a six-year tenure-track assistant professorship with the possibility of promotion to associate professor. The Faculty of Medicine is advertising up to three positions for assistant professors in various research areas. Candidates will be assessed based on their research and teaching merits. The position includes a start-up package and requires the ability to teach in English, with an expectation to acquire Swedish language skills. The application deadline is 1 October 2026.
