Part-Time Lecturer in Theater and Performance Studies

The Committee on Theater and Performance Studies at the University of Chicago invites applications for part-time Lecturers during the 2026-27 academic year. The selected candidate will have part-time teaching opportunities in the Theater and Performance Studies program. Responsibilities include preparing and teaching seminar- or workshop-style courses, holding regularly scheduled office hours, and preparing and grading assignments and testing materials. The successful candidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Theater or a related discipline; a Master’s degree or PhD is strongly preferred. A minimum of three years of professional theater experience is required.
