Assistant Professor - Indigeneities/Indigenous Feminisms From a Humanities Perspective

The Department of Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We seek candidates whose scholarship centers on indigenous feminisms, particularly in relation to gender and sexuality. Ideal candidates will engage with themes of extraction, capitalism, sovereignty, and law, utilizing diverse analytic frameworks including literature, film, and social movements. A commitment to feminist, queer, trans, anti-racist, and decolonial perspectives is essential. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses and mentor students, contributing to a transformative educational environment focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
