Research Assistant/Associate in Formal Methods

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the Software Security Lab at Newcastle University as a Research Associate/Assistant in Formal Methods. This position focuses on developing formal solutions to enhance security in open-source software development, particularly against supply chain attacks. Candidates should hold a PhD (or be near completion) in formal methods or a related area, with strong analytical skills and experience in tool development. The role offers opportunities for independent research and collaboration with industry partners, including Google DeepMind. The appointment is for 8 months, with a possibility of extension, and is available for immediate start.
