About this opening

The Elya lab at Harvard University is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to explore the mechanistic bases of behavior modification in fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster) caused by the fungal pathogen Entomophthora muscae. The successful candidate will work on projects that include identifying molecular and genetic effectors responsible for fungal-induced behaviors, developing experimental techniques for gene expression manipulation, and investigating the roles of host and fungal circadian clocks in affected phenotypes. A Ph.D. in a relevant biological subfield is required. Candidates should submit a CV, a brief description of their scientific interests, and contact information for three references.
