Postdoc in the Institute for Molecular Pathogenesis

The Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut, a leading research institute in animal health, is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Institute for Molecular Pathogenesis in Jena. The position focuses on understanding and assessing the transmission of antimicrobial resistances (AMR) in a One Health context. The successful candidate will work closely with scientists from multiple institutes to further develop interdisciplinary research concepts related to AMR. Responsibilities include national and international networking, supporting the coordination of AMR research groups, and conducting research on AMR in both field and laboratory settings. Applicants should have a completed PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field, with expertise in the mechanistic study of antibiotic resistance. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of German is advantageous. The position offers a full-time contract with competitive remuneration according to public service pay scales.
