PhD Candidate in Biology

This PhD project will explore the germline differentiation trajectory from germline stem cells (GSCs) to germ cells in jellyfish and polyp colonies. It aims to define the molecular and cellular levels of this process, pinpointing when GSCs acquire male or female identities and identifying regulatory genes controlling sexual identity. The candidate will utilize live imaging and various molecular techniques to investigate these aspects in Clytia species.
