Postdoctoral Associate

The experimental heavy ion group at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate to conduct research under the direction of Professors Jamie Nagle and Dennis Perepelitsa. The candidate will lead AI/machine learning efforts coupled with physics analysis. The position may be based in Boulder or at Brookhaven National Laboratory, with travel for experimental work or conferences. A Ph.D. in experimental nuclear or particle physics, or a related field with AI/ML experience, is required. The annual salary ranges from $55,000 to $70,000, with benefits including medical, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off. Applications are due by August 15, 2026.
