Professor/Associate Professor in Economics

The University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM) invites applications for a Professor/Associate Professor in Economics to support its BSc Economics and Finance and BSc Economics and Actuarial Science programmes. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, contribute to curriculum development, supervise students, and establish a strong research profile through scholarly publications. Opportunities exist to develop research collaborations, secure external funding, and engage with industry and the wider academic community. Candidates with industry experience are particularly encouraged. The role requires a PhD in Economics or a related discipline, a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCAP), and a strong track record in teaching and research. Experience in managing research projects and knowledge of Malaysian higher education frameworks are advantageous.
