The EPFL Laboratory of Particle Accelerator Physics (LPAP) seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the development of a robust optics configuration and beam-beam collision scheme for the Future Circular Colliders (FCC). The successful candidate will refine optics configurations, implement tuning knobs, and develop correction schemes to enhance luminosity, beam lifetime, and dynamic aperture. The role involves analyzing current lattice options, designing alternative optics, and creating flexible correction tools for real-time lattice adjustments. The position is part of the CHART-funded project 'General Accelerator Design at the FCC-ee: optics, tuning knobs and collective effects studies' and offers a unique opportunity to shape next-generation particle collider design through cutting-edge research in accelerator physics and simulation development.
