Postdoctoral Scholar: Ecological Drivers of Southern Resident Killer Whale Habitat Use

The School of Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences at the University of Washington seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar to lead a study on the ecological drivers of southern resident killer whale habitat use. The role involves analyzing environmental DNA samples and oceanographic data to enhance assessments of whale habitat and prey communities. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of scientists, publish findings, and contribute to management actions for the recovery of endangered SRKWs. This full-time position is for 12 months with potential for a second year based on performance. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in relevant fields and possess skills in molecular genetics and bioinformatics.
