The Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute at Harvard University invites applications for the Mittal Institute India Fellowship for 2026-27. This fellowship is designed for recent postdoctoral scholars who have completed their Ph.D. within the last five years. The fellowship allows scholars to conduct independent research in India, with a focus on advancing programs that benefit the public in India. The fellowship is open to various disciplines, including philosophy, law, economics, and more. Selected fellows will be mentored by Harvard faculty and are expected to reside in New Delhi for the duration of the fellowship. The fellowship begins in January 2027, offering a stipend of INR 1,00,000 per month, covering living costs and travel expenses for those outside New Delhi.
