The postdoc will explore the spin dynamics of molecular and atomic spins on surfaces, contributing to the ERC project SPINOCCHIO. The project aims to develop a first-principles approach to quantify spin-phonon couplings, enhancing our understanding of magnetic relaxation and coherence times in molecular quantum devices. Candidates should have a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or related fields, with a strong background in open quantum system dynamics and solid-state physics. The position is for two years, starting preferably on November 1, 2026.
