Tenure Track Professorship for Security, Society and Global East

The Faculty of Social Sciences is offering a tenure track professorship in Security, Society, and Global East. The successful candidate will have outstanding qualifications in research and teaching in sociology, particularly regarding the relationship between security and societal change. Methodological expertise in qualitative social science methods is expected. Proven ability to acquire and lead competitive externally funded research projects is required. The position offers a dynamic research environment and the opportunity for promotion to a permanent associate professorship after a successful evaluation. The candidate is expected to acquire German language skills within three years.
