Associate Director for Writing in the Core

The Chicago Center for Writing at the University of Chicago invites applications for an Associate Director for Writing in the Core. This position involves strategic leadership for writing instruction, curriculum development, and mentoring instructors. The successful candidate will coordinate the College’s Core writing requirement and support writing instruction across disciplines. Applicants should have a Doctorate and a strong record in college-level teaching and program management. The position is non-tenure track, starting January 1, 2027, with an initial term of three years. Review of applications begins September 15, 2026.
