Research Associate / Postdoc

The Faculty of Geosciences and Geography at the University of Göttingen is looking for a Postdoc in Organic Geochemistry. This position is full-time and limited to 3 years, with a possibility of extension. The research focuses on the origin and transformation of organic materials in sediments and sedimentary rocks, employing both field and laboratory methods. The successful candidate will engage in ongoing research projects and develop their own project ideas, contributing to teaching in Bachelor and Master programs. A completed PhD in Organic Geochemistry/Biogeochemistry and proven analytical expertise are required, along with publication experience. Proficiency in English and German (minimum B2 level) is necessary.
