Postdoctoral Research Fellow Fixed Term: Research Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA), Semiconductor Functional Device Group

The National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) is looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Semiconductor Functional Device Group at the Research Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA). The successful candidate will conduct research on functional electronic devices utilizing ultra-thin semiconductors at the molecular and atomic scale, focusing on organic materials and transition metal dichalcogenides. Responsibilities include exploring new computing architectures, including multivalued logic and reconfigurable logic circuits. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and experience in the fabrication and characterization of thin-film transistors is desirable. The position starts on December 1, 2026, and is fixed-term until the end of March 2027, with potential for extension based on performance and budget availability.
