Researcher in Translation, Linguistic and Cultural Studies on Gender, Inclusion and Accessibility

The researcher will conduct interdisciplinary research on translation processes in publishing and audiovisual media and on online discursive practices in the English-speaking world and Italy. The work integrates translation, linguistic, and cultural studies with methodologies from gender studies and critical discourse analysis. Focus areas include literary texts, films, television series, and online hate speech, with particular attention to representations of gender and diversity and their circulation across languages and cultures. The research will analyze linguistic and translation strategies that contribute to reproducing or challenging stereotypes and discrimination, exploring implications for the inclusivity and accessibility of cultural and digital content.
