Open Postdoctoral Position, Faculty Mentor

The Department of Geophysics at Stanford University is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to join the Convection & Climate Group. The research aims to uncover the physical principles governing moist convection and atmospheric circulations, including phenomena such as tropical cyclones and atmospheric rivers. The successful candidate will have the freedom to develop independent research connected to themes like convective organization, vapor buoyancy effects, and atmospheric river predictability. The position offers collaboration opportunities with Stanford and other institutions, with an initial appointment of one year and potential renewal for up to two additional years.
