The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantum Information Theory. The successful candidate will join a dynamic research group working on fundamental and applied problems in quantum information theory, including quantum Shannon theory, entanglement, Bell nonlocality, and operator-algebraic methods. The project aims to produce mathematically rigorous results with practical implications for quantum communication, such as security proofs and key-rate bounds for continuous-variable and device-independent QKD. The position is funded by a grant to Mizanur Rahaman from WACQT and offers a two-year full-time contract with a competitive salary. The role includes opportunities for independent research, collaboration, and limited teaching or supervision duties.
