Research Technician in Cyanobacterial Bioplastics and Environmental Biotechnology

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) seeks a Research Technician to provide experimental and analytical support to the RENEW project. The role involves cultivating microbiomes enriched in cyanobacteria, producing and recovering bioplastics (especially PHBV), and characterizing polymers and their degradation in environmental media. Key responsibilities include maintaining non-sterile cyanobacteria cultures, operating photobioreactors, monitoring biomass and nutrients, performing polymer extraction and analysis (GC, SEM, DSC, NMR), and conducting scientific programming and statistical analyses.
