Assistant Professor - Modern Chinese Culture

The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Michigan invites applications for a tenure-track position in modern Chinese culture to begin August 25, 2027. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses in modern Chinese culture, supervise doctoral dissertations, and participate in departmental and area studies initiatives. Applicants with interdisciplinary interests in modern Chinese culture from the late nineteenth to the twenty-first century are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. is required.
