PhD in Physics - Tensorial mechanical response of soft-glassy materials

The Institut de Physique de Nice offers a PhD project on the tensorial mechanical response of soft-glassy materials. This research investigates how materials like gels and emulsions behave under stress, particularly during complex 2D flow paths. The candidate will develop a custom 2D tensorial rheometer to measure shear forces and study the elasto-plastic response of these materials.
